MPC2500 RACKMOUNTS?

Hi,
Is possible to mount MPC2500 to rack?i cant find any rackmounts in shops.thx

i don't think there's anything currently available, but you could always make something yourself.

do you want it vertical, or do you have a sloping rack?

It's a DIY project, just not enough interest in something like that for it to be a seller.
The way most people like to work just doesn't fit that mold but doing it yourself wouldn't be too hard if you really want to go that route.

the 2500 is 16.33" wide so it should fit, you'd just need to make a shallow tray with two lips on the right hand and left hand edges with holes in that correspond to the rack. Simple

the mpc in this pic is not mounted on a rack. it's just sitting like turntables in a coffin.

a standard rack is 19" across. and as stated, the 2500 is 16.33" so it will not actually fit in a rack.

what i meant by 'it should fit' is that it's not too wide for the rack, and therefore he would be able to make a tray for the mpc to sit in. if he wanted it to go vertical, though, he would need to secure the mpc into the tray.

oh, i know what you meant. i stated that to let him know that it will not fit "on" a rack due to the small size of the 2500. then he referrenced a picture like that's what he was talking about so then i just stated that the mpc in the picture was not "mounted"

Aah! i see now, cheers man. Do you or anyone else know if there's any mounting holes on the side of the 2500 for the MFC filter that akai does?

from my time around the 2.5k i haven't seen any holes. but then again, i wasn't looking for them.

i haven't seen one in the flesh, but in the 3/4 pics i've seen, there are like angled shapes on the sides at the back:

I don't think the original mounting kit they sold will fit the 2500. It might but I think you are going to have to find some longer screws, but not too long. The holes on the sides of the 2500 look to be in the same place. But they have this new bracket thing on the sides which may have to be removed to do it. Otherwise the screws are set in from being flush to the sides hence longer screws.

It won't be long until I open mine up and take it apart.
