old vs new

what's up? just borrowed a mpc 60 from a friend. gonna run the exact drum samples from the 2500 thru it and program the same drum patterns on both to see if the legendary mpc 60 feel is fact or fiction. Stay tuned ...

One thing's for sure, the dials look a lot nicer on the 60!

yeah, i'll post a high bitrate mp3 when i get a chance to get down. will most likely post the files tomorrow. gotta make sure i'm using the same swing and shit on the 60. I've spent about 20 minutes total on this thing. stay tunes fellas

That might not be a good idea. MP3 filters out a lot of subtle frequencies, even when it's high bitrate. Not suitable for a keen sound comparison. Better keep it a short sample and in WAV format, 44.1 kHz/16 Bit at least.

Yep i agree, not gonna be an accurate test if you don't use WAVs.

2 shortish wavs, zip them up and stick them on megaupload.com is probably your best bet

this mpc60 is very noisey. Is this normal or is the machine on it's last legs?

i like the drumloop1 more then 2
but whats the 60 or 2500?
