Hello all,

Can anyone help me with this?

Let's say I load a folder I created myself with 20 samples (a D&B kit). When I stand on the folder and press do it I see that all the samples within that folder are loading.

Then when I want to create my own programm and try to assign samples to the pads, NOT all the samples loaded before (20) are there to assign! What is wrong? I load 20samples within a folder and want to be able to walk through them in the programm menu in order to create my sublime drum kit (autoload).

Anyone knows what I am missing?

What about the Trim mode? Are the samples visible in there?

What are you actually loading when you say you press Do It? A Program file, or a Project file?

Yup. Like Stilo said, make sure that the samples you loaded can be seen and manipulated in Trim mode. If you can see them there then you should be able to load them in program mode. If not, then you have a problem with that file not loading correctly.

Ok guys, Thanks for the quick replies first!

I think th efollowing is the problem.

As I said I loaded a kit with 20samples in it, so not a programm or whatever, just 20 samples. Loading these 20 samples results in 13 visible samples both in program as in trim mode. Analysing the names of the 20 samples shows the following.

There are for example 5 different open hihats with the following names.
HHDrumandbass1
HHDrumandbass2
HHDrumandbass3 etc.

Same store with the snares.
So if I look in trim or program mode my MPC only shows the first HHDrumandbass1 and not the others. The next sample shown is the one with another name which is loaded correctly.

Is this something common? And should I make all the names unique on my pc before loading onto my MPC?

Thanks

You can try to make the names unique and see if that works. Maybe shorten the names too. I figured it was a loading problem. Try that out and let us know if it works.....

Making the samples unique does the job!

Did you name those samples on your PC or in the MPC?

However, there should be no difference for the MPC between characters and numbers. Must have something to do with the length as well...

I noticed if you keep the file names short like under 8 characters you will hAve less pROBlems loading
NAMe abreviation Is the way to go ...> piano>PNO
DrumandBASS>DRMNBSS
this maKes life alot easier whEn naming things tooo...I usEd to keep a lIst when I first stArted doing it in Case I smoked too mUch and couln't remember my combos

PC

Today I heard that max. 8 characters is always working like ZAM said, so good to know, no?

Yea, I saw that. Although the MPC allows you to name your samples up to 16 characters long. And it seems no problem saving and loading those back inside the MPC.

Must be some incompatibility with PC files...

I have got this issue again and wonder if someone else recognises it?

I simply want to create a programm with my Battery 2 samples (wav). I load the samples in the MPC's memory but when I go to the programm mode, the samples do not appear. I can see the samples in the respective directory but as soon as I go to programm or trim mode, NO samples visible. Even not when I shorten the names to less than 8 characters.

Anyone?

Cheers

Strange, strange.

With some other wav's from Battery 2 I have NO problems? Anyway, it looks like only some files are corrupt or something.

Man, I really wonder if I am alone with this problem?
Some files (Battery 2 wav-files) don´t appear when I load them in order to create a new prrogramm. I have read tips such as making the samples unique, shorten the names to less than 8 characters etc. Still when loading , the problem exists!!

What can the problem be? Does anyone else recognise this problem and has tips to get rid of it?

I am using OS 1.21
