Quality gets worse...

The quality fo the sample seems to get a little worse after it is chopped and converted...is that normal and is there any way to make the quality stay?

I don't think I've experienced that one. Are you sure that the quality was good to begin with?

yea it sounds nice and full before i chop it in the mpc, and then it gets softer and flat sounding once shopped and converted

Sounds like stereo --> mono conversion. Chop on a computer if you have one.

How did you chop, what exact menus were you in when you did it.

Take us step by step into what you did.

I think you did something else besides chop cause that doesn't sound right.

What EXACTLY did you do?

Yes this is exactly your problem.To keep the sample with the original sound(stereo)chop the sample into regions,then instead of pressing the convert botton,press the edit button, then extract each chopped region. This will keep the samples stereo. It takes a little more time,but is well worth it. :D :D I hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure it 's just the way it does it. I believe it saves memory by converting samples to mono. There should be some kind of way to toggle it from mono to stereo in my opinion

donno I think puts a space infront of the sample but when I use it my samples end up soundin like turds

lets see...first i make a folder to put all of the files into...then i drag the folder that has all of the wav files that were sliced in recycle into the MPC....then i load the eintire folder...then i go mode>trim then usually chop EQUALLY, then i convert...then i assign each slice to a pad...then when i go and hit the pads, the quality is worse
