2500 os update?

when is akai going to fix the os for the 2500??? its been almost 6 months since i bought this mp and still no updates??

Thats Akai for you. Their is the JJ OS alternative or you could just get another MP(C).

Try the JJ OS! i was not going to try for a long time then i bit the bullet and installed it. 1/2 and hour later i bought the OS! after playing around and writing beats i noticed a bug issue with the audio traks. I wrote JJ a detailed email and a new OS was released 6 hours later fixing the problem! This JJ OS is great!

I have been waiting it out too... looks like akai be slackin on support... kinda weak... i guess i may have to switch too...

Isn`t the 1.22 pretty good then....working for me but i only had the mpc for a month and i dont use midi time code and stuff...

Everyone might as well load up the JJ OS if you are looking for additional features..

Akai's official OS 1.22 is solid with the exception of the way MTC slave works. But the JJ OS (in terms of additional features) is a much better OS. So pay your $30 and get it over with. My guess is the next time you see an official Akai OS in an MPC, it will be in either the MPC 500 or the much rumored new MPC coming in March/April.

Again, this is just my guess and based on no facts at all.

i spoke with akai about a month ago and they said there working on the os but they are taking extra time to make sure its on point. what problems are you concerned about? when i 1st got my 2500 the os fixes came quickly so the unit was atleast usable. now i have no problems with my unit other than wrong file error but when i save to folders im ok. i have to say though im likely not using my unit as often and with other devices like most of you other cats.i will be using it with the triton studio and k2vx keyboards as soon as i get off of my lazy a__

anyone hav a fix for this cant find it is killin me. I wanna just turn the mp on and load presaved program and have all the keys chromatically aligned with the triton or any other device I use. But everytime I do it resets the midi notes even after I save a program with the notes set in it. A response would be brilliant!!

Set up your program and use it as a default. You can have it autoload when you turn your MPC on..or simply load it everytime you turn your MPC on.

I have this problem to. i would really appreciate a thoro explanation of how you replace with a new program file.... is it mearly just a case of setting up a blank song with the midi note changes and then making it the auto load template???

im sure ive done this a bunch of times before getting fed up of trying.

If they said they were gonna take thier time to make sure that thier next os is bug free, do you think that is going to be the last OS that Akai will release?
