I was making a beat earlier and i realised that when i was hitting a single pad i was getting different samples, depending on how hard i was hitting it.I also noticed on grid edit that each time i was hitting a pad(this is happening to every pad)it was recording like 4 pads.It is also happening when i am naming everything, again i hit a pad and i get like 7 different letters, same goes for track mute aswell :( .Im going crazy any help will be much appreciated guys.

The same thing happened to me one night. Like 4 different pads were being triggered at the same time when recording. It went away after that day. I just shut it off. But maybe you should try to re-install the OS. I am using the first one... I dont even know the difference, so i havent bothered. I'm really waiting for a new OS.

Some people reported the pad sensors/rubber mat weren't aligned properly obviously. You can open up the cover of your MPC and fix that yourself.

This is a common issue with most MPC 1000's and the 2500's. They share the same sound engine, and probably the same bugs too.

I reported this same 'pad triggering other pads' issue over 3 years ago, and nothing has been done about it. It happened to all the 1000s that i had as well as 2 of my previous 2500s. My third 2500 seems to be ok.

Note: this has never happened on my XL or the many 4000s that i have tried and owned.

I had this problem and what i did was just hit the pads for a while , restart the mpc , reinstall os 1.21 (coming from 1.22) , restart and it was gone.
Not really sure what fixed the problem , but it was the last time i had a problem with that.
I went back to 1.22 after that so i'm pretty sure the os isn't the problem.
Greetz...

Thanks alot Fasttracker,I'll try switching OS's and see if that helps.I just hope it isnt a hardware issue.
