Man, if I had a 2500, I'd be on this! Anyone going to give it a go? I want to see it!

so, did you ever talk to styleflip? i'm pretty sure they'd buy that design off you and make it a design template or something for people to choose.

I'd get it!

I'm going to be the first to say I don't like it. If I was going to style my 2500 I'd have something glossy, some nice artwork, a center piece in the studio.

Fair enough, the old MPC's are dope, but the designs are old now. It's like trying to make your glossy iMac look like an old skool Macintosh. No chance.

Send me that .ai over so I can **** with a design. I work in graphic design, so I should be able to create a dope ass design for my 2500.

Yeah i guess its subjective. personally, I love it.

Loved it so much that I got inspired with Photoshop, "borrowed" the OP's MPC2500XL logo (hope you don't mind!), removed the XL part, and created a quick little design of my own. Then I uploaded it onto Styleflip's flash app, just to see how it would look on my 2500. It's not exactly the same, but follows the same basic idea. Retro, baby!

Think I might go through with it!

i honestly think you should talk to the people at styleflip and sell them that design. I've read great things about them, and from what i've seen, the quality of their skins is top notch. They don't just look like cheap stickers. They actually look very genuine. And it's not permanent, like an actual paint job. So if at some point in the future, you feel like going back to the original design, it's easy to remove.

Of course, the best results are from people submitting their own designs. The few designs that Styleflip offers on their site are kind of tacky and uninspiring. I'm sure they'd be interested in adding something as cool as your design as a template. A lot of people (like me) would be willing to pay for a skin like that. Worth a shot :)

I got bored, so I spent some time making this version of the 2500XL.
