MTC Sucks any help??? (search is crap)

When you set pre roll, are you settig the daw to record at the bar your music will actually start? For example, if you have 2 bars of pre roll, your cursor in the daw should be on bar 3. This will cause the daw to start playback at bar 1 where the 2 bars of pre roll starts, and start actually recording at bar 3 where the audio starts. You can't have 2 bars of pre roll and have the cursor set to record at bar 1 or 2. Also, are you matching the tempo of your daw session to the tempo of your beat?

This (MTC Start Offset) should help with your 50ms problem. Look for it in Cubase.

I record the MIDI into my DAW with MTC and let it loop a couple of times to make sure the DAW is caught up. Then just use the bars where it's locked in to track out my audio from the MPC. As long as the quantize is off in the DAW, all MIDI data remains unchanged.
