Whats wrong with my MPC 2500

Gave up? Selling it?

Sorry mate big week at work.

i tried to install the MPC 1000 CF board into the 2500 and there not the same part.

So without anyway to boot the older OS I cannot wipe the test program I will need to get a CF board.

Everyone I use to know that serviced hardware in Sydney no longer is in business

If you want...you pay for freight both ways, send it down to me, I'll give it a go with the CF reader from my 2500, and send it back, either fixed, or still broken if a working CF reader can't get it going.

Is the cable/connection itself, from the MPC2500 to the MPC2500 CF reader, different to the connection on the MPC1000 CF reader?

You don't have to 'install' it, as in bolt the MPC1000 CF reader PCB into the MPC2500, you just have to connect the CF reader cable (not the audio jack connection cable), so that you can boot from it.

When the working CF board was installed nothing happened when I tried tried to access the CF.

When you insert a CF card into a to the broken reader (connected to the 2500) it will give you a message saying CF card not inserted.


So its almost like the broken one is picked up and the MPC 1000 CF reader does not work.

The OP gave up and sold it, I bought it, so will be trying to work this out myself when I receive it next week.

would this mean corrupted chip ? keep us posted if you find a workable solution
