Well because Jahrome has spent alot of time with the 2.5K to give as much info and answer as many questions as possible. So the real question is why this newbie has to come down on Jahrome like that.

gotta agree. Jahrome tried to answer all questions we dropped. This guy has no right complaining. Did he pay Jahrome for a review or something?

i knew yawl would fall into the trap. i was just making a JOKING snide remark to jahrome hoping to spark something up. Really, i'm envious that he's rocking a 2500 and would like to hear more about it before i buy!

I have really tried to do the best I can answering questions. I have been working overtime with this machine (I do have a day job..kids to feed..and slingin on the side). I have been very busy and still have the time to post everything I find.

PhonoquO, no need to spark anything up. I have been here doing whatever I can.

BUG:

When I have designated a Track as MIDI and have set PROGRAM to "OFF" I would assume that it will not send a PROGRAM CHANGE (even if sending of program changes is enabled)...because it is OFF. However, if I have a patch up on the synth I am going to try and sequence and I push PLAY/RECORD to record that track it sends a PROGRAM CHANGE and sets the patch back to 1 in the bank I happen to be in. I would prefer that if the PROGRAM is set to "OFF" that no PROGRAM CHANGES be sent. When I'm just messing around and want to capture an idea I don't want to *have* to set the program information.

Another part to this bug may also be that if I *do* want to set the Program Change information and then I save the sequence and come back to MAIN and look at my track the PROGRAM is set to OFF...it should show the program information I set. Why hide it?

You have to turn the submit program changes in this track to OFF no matter what is in the PGM: field. Otherwise program changes will be submitted. Akai may possibly want to change this in an OS update..but in the meantime, just keep the submit program change to OFF and you will have no issues.

CONFIRMED: When I do have a track that does have program changes in it, and I save the track and reload it, it does hide my program changes. Although this doesn't affect the track in anyway, this should be programmed into the OS not to do this.

ALLOW THE CHANGE OF TRACKS WHEN DIRECT RECORDING!!!!!!

My feedback is: have Akai officials (at least 1) get active on these forums TODAY. Stop lurking and make yourselves known/heard.

Not while recording. But being able to direct record after u change a track. I was wondering if I could record instruments(keyboard) right into it.

Why would you not do that? I don't see this as a problem on other community sites with a corporate tag on. I mean seriously, a community manager endorsed by Akai. Easy, functional, official. Be it here or where ever.

I wouldn't do that on a site like this because my PM in-box would get flooded with BS. This forum is perfect because most users can answer many of the questions posted..technical as well as tips and tricks.
