Hurricane Producer
I don't find this website that funny. I created the name "Hurricane Producer" with the idea that when the New Orleans hurricane was over then I would leave here forever. Then I extended that until the end of hurricane season. Once that's over I'll be gone with the wind.
You registered here the same date as the MPC 2500 arrived
Sorry to see you go because you have added to some of the funniest things I have read in these forums. Some of your famous quotes:
Hurricane Producer wrote at various times:
1. Just as there are gear junkies who sell synths and MPCs, there is another type of gear junkie who is always selling recording equipment and buying the latest thing. Can you believe it? How many DAWs can you go through before you get the right one?!
2. What about a CF card? Has anyone bought one yet that works in the 2500? I want to order a CF card that I know is going to be compatible. The AKAI website only says that it has to be a Type II card. I'm thinking about getting something that is a maximum of 1 GB. I would rather have several small cards dedicated to projects instead of one huge card with the potential of losing a lot of my work.
3. If I had not wanted the MPC2500 so quickly then I would have pre-ordered from Novamusik.
4. To hell with the 4000. Long live the 2500
5. It was an excellent deal. But save your money and wait a few months. AKAI always releases MPCs with QC problems in the beginning. The early MPC1000 owners can tell you how they got burned. Let AKAI get the bugs out of their first production run, then buy the machine.
Just a few though
I guess I have a weird sense of humor. I find a lot of these humerous.
Hurricane Producer, from your posts..I have read that you make a living producing and investments. I guess this explains why you own the MPC 1000, MPC 25000, MPC 4000, and the Roland MV-8000.

And a Moog Voyager among other things.
I have read where you bashed Akai about the bugs in their gear only to read in another thread that you told others to buy the same gear that you trashed. I have read where you stated that bugs are apart of all Akai gear when they are released..but you run around looking to buy the MPC 2500 when it hasn't even hit the USA yet. You even stated that you would get the new MPC 4500/5000 (whatever it may be) as soon as its released. In fact, you said that you will buy a black MPC 4000 if one is released.
I read where you were looking to find the right CF card...when you could have just bought one and tested it out and if it didn't work well...just buy another. You have the funds to buy 4 highend sampling workstations, you can surely spend $25 on a CF card
I have also read where you state that the MPC 4000 and the MV-8000 is a great combination.
Yes.....yes. This is why I find this place educational and entertaining. Man, I make mistakes and I am a gear slut at best...but damn...I have no words for what they should call you
Please don't be 'Gone with the wind.'
