Alto is cool and legit.
There prices are always lower than the rest and they give real estimates on stock arrival.

I checked most of all the music sites in the US. They really can't (not suppose to) advertise for less than $1999.

As far as Alto Music...I will let you guys know if it is an open box...but as long as it appears to be brand new and has a warranty, I will be very reluctant to send it back.

Alto never advertise prices you have to contact them.

sweetwater told me they don't discount their prices because they offer such great service and knowledge. Funny

Its a new unit, I have ordered from Alto many times.

Best price on the net. Plus I got the 128 megs of ram, all for under 1900.

You need a different Sweetwater rep.

My Old sweetwater rep use to match prices, but my new one will not come down.

How do you know at sweetwater, my rep sucks.

Changing reps is kinda tricky but you can try talking to Nika Aldrich, I have also dealt with Brad Lyons.

Sweetwater prices are competitive to the online prices you find.

Not a plug for them or anything just an observation.

you're absolutely right, no one is supposed to advertise for less than $1999 but no one said a store can't sell it to you for less than $1999. that's on them.

What happened?? Did they charge you a premium for delivery and memory? That should have costed you anywhere from $1670-$1800.

They told be the same BS. They also said their sales reps are extremely knowledgable. My assigned sales rep didn't know squat.

My rep was a jazz musician. I'm a hip hop producer/rapper and although I enjoy jazz a little, I would'nt try to sell brass and woodwind instruments or even drums to a jazz musician. A guitar, well maybe since I play guitar too but I dont play jazz. Should'nt they pair the reps up with people who are interested in the same genre of music? That only sounds logical.

Count me in on the anti-Sweetwater group. My rep's name is Jeff. I can't remember his last name. Barnet or something like that. I haven't ordered anything from Sweetwater in years. Their prices suck and their reps suck. I got an e-mail from Jeff a couple months ago. Hadn't heard from him in a couple years. I sent a pleasant reply that said "Hey, it was good to hear from you...You just missed a sale. I bought a..." . He came back with a very negative reply, even quoting notes he had kept. I swear that I will never order from them again.
