Looking for some hard drive solutions

i hear you. this is why we started that thread over in the 1k section for the RAM and CF card. and now with the hard drive. so people can see what others tried and what worked for them to give others the chance to go get the ones that have been proven to work. i'm not asking anyone to go blindly into the wind and just buy anything.... we give specific model numbers and manufaturer information so they know exactly what to look for when shopping for RAM/CF card/Hard drive.

although 100gb (which i have) may seem like overkill to some, others may want that. i know 40gb will be more than sufficient but like i just said, some may want more than 40gb.

LOL...first the man clowns mpcs and calls them the wackest and most over priced things on the planet and runs out and spends 2 G's on the newest mpc...but anyway,

i've got the toshiba one 40 GB that is listed on the akai site and its dope..real quiet, can't hear it at all and 40GB is WAY more than you'll ever need..i dont even think i've used 1GB yet (but then again i always backup my ish on the computer and delete unused samples in the 2500...just a habit)

damn i mean for the longest time i was using the 32MB card when i had the MPC1K.

Just Added The Toshiba MK6026GAX 60GB to the 2500 and it works well, so far. Got it brand new in the plastic for 60 bucks on craigslist.

I just installed and initialized it. Gotta drag some samples to it now. I'm very sensitive to fan and drive noise and don't hear it at all.

Aaah, storage space!!
