Just so you know...

A Blu-Ray DVD won't be readable by a typical DVD reader (i.e., what the MPC uses, or what's likely in your computer right now), so you're not going to shuffle 20G of data on and off your MPC directly, unless you're using the USB port.

Heck, the Blu-Ray spec wasn't even completed until last month. It's going to be a while before Akai supports it (or the competing standard, HD-DVD).

won't dumping gigs from the pc to the mpc hd take FOREVER? I mean didn't akai stick with USB 1.1 (I swear their calendars are set ten years behind everyone elses)

whats the file format of 2500-formatted hd? something proprietary? (i'm sure it is, for maximum skank value)....otherwise if it can be mounted direct in a pc (i used to do this with laptops, yank out the hd and use a ribbon cable w/converter to plug direct into the mobo) or seeing as its 2006, use a $20 2.5" firewire/usb 2.0 caddy

I think it took about 20 minutes to dump just over 3 gigs of samples from my PC to the MPC 2500 via USB.
