A little dissapointed in the 2500 sequencer...

I used to have a 2kXL, and while I do miss some things (being able to step through beats with the forward button and hear them, for example) the advantages outweigh any cons.

Like folks have said though, it takes time to get used to the new level of power under the hood, and dealing with the quirks of an OS that's not quite optimal yet...

I second that Tanaka but now that the new O.S. is out I'd say it is optimal now He11 yeah!

So, has the new OS modified the character of the sequencer, or
still "stiff" as yall put it? Also, I am hearing I will not be able to load
beats from the 2KXL. I know this has been talked about, but
I have been out of the loop for months.

with the new OS yes you can load files from the 2XL and I havent noticed that any stiffness

Yo Dollaz: You saying that I CAN load .ALL seq and .PGMs or .APS from made on my 2KXL? That would be good news. And seems like you are saying the stiffness may be imagined? Have you owned one of the older models before the 2500? Thanks, appreciate it.

yes you can load .ALL and .APS, some of them dont load perfectly tempo wise for some reason, but you can adjust it, you may have to adjust the freq and res. parameters as well but its no major issues that I have noticed

What about when you load beats with a autochromatic bass? What happens then? The way I make most of my basses with my 2kxl is with a single bassnotesample with autochromatic assignment.

I haven't loaded one where I used autochromatic bass , but that may be an issue being that the 2500 does not have auto chrom.
