No pops, clicks, bangs, explosions, etc....

I use both MIDI and samples.

i took the usb cable out and it worked fine. hopefully that's the problem.

i sample and use midi.

I get the pops! :roll:

Usb to a G5 Imac, connected to a monster AV 600 surge protector.

You may want to upgrade to a Furman AR-PRO voltage regulator.

it's def not the usb connections,i get pops without the usb connected,it's really annoying

u probably dont use your 2500 rigorously enough to get the pops, seein as you have so much GEAR

I have pops. I use mainly samples at the moment. This is actually my second MPC2500 and both sufferent from pops.

I'm not sure I'm buying this voltage regulation solution. I have a studio full of other hardware that doesn't POP, including an Akai Z8. So why should the MPC be any different?

Nope...that's not it. The MPC is the master. The 'so much gear' you refer to are just sound modules which I sample into the MPC. Believe me..when I get some pops and clicks, I will post that fact up in these threads. Also, I am not the only one that has no pops/clicks.....

more people have pops than not is all I'm saying

and we all got them at different times and places so its no way they are all from the same batch

maybe it has something to do with using effects and/or filters

do u use those?
