There is nothing in your memory to save.

But did you try to remove your harddrive and CD drive (if you have it) as well and see if the problem persists?

If you mean can they save files stored on your hard drive?? Then possibly yes if the drive isn't corrupted.

if i took out my hard drive and then it worked what would that mean? It worked before i saved a beat on the hardrive, after i saved a beat then it started doing this.

That's odd. I guess it screws up again if you reinstall the drive? If you got it completely from VST, including the drive, I guess you'll actually have to call them...

yea i got the entire system from them. I got the ram and the hardrive with the extended warranty.

Hi I'm french, I've got exactly the same problem...

I tried a factory reset but it doesn't works... Nothing occurs apart the message 'SYSTEM TEST'...

There's no support in France so I called the europe one (in england) but they don't know what to do...

I am disgusted, what can I do!?

Only thing i can suggest is to return it to where you bought it and get either advice, a replacement or a refund.

I'd installed the last OS (1.1) and it works... So I think I'll stay with this OS and not return the MPC to the shop where I bought it!
But it's really annoying and strange...

I just called Vst and they said they will replace it with a new one when I send it back. I also called Akai prior and they had no idea at all.

Akai always seem to be clueless and dont follow up on there promises. A rep was supposed to call me back on another issue and never did. thank goodness I solved the problem myself.

how do you make to reinstall the old os if you have this message at the start !?

You must copy the OS on a compact flash card, insert the card and turning the Mpc on while you're holdind the [WINDOWS] key.
