Sounds like you have the problem I had. What were your trying to do when it happened? Holding down the window key to re-install the OS?

you think there are 240 x 64 tiny little LEDs that makeup the screen?

if you would have read the whole thread u would see that i was not asking him if there were little LEDs that made up the screen, rather if he thought there was

remove the LCD cover and place a film of whatever cover you want inside the MPC and put the cover back on. BAM! You have a different color screen. I think RED with black letters would be sweet

Try holding shift then rotating the data wheel in both directions.

Sometimes the contrast resets itself.

Worth a shot

well that would just be a cover up. Its not that easy. It is impossible to make red from green. if you put red over green, it would look like poo

no shit!

thanks for the tips yall. keep em comin. I am so sick of my green screen. I like to work at night and I already put a piece of tape over my Window button coz its too damn bright. That would be an easy mod to put a blue key in there instead but the LCD is gonna be a **** I think. It will likely be expensive too. Why did they choose that puke green screen!? Probably to cut costs.

i believe red LEDs are the cheapest. also, an interesting fact: human eyes are much more sensitive to green light than red or blue light. this is due to the larger number of green receptor cells in the retina. it's also why night vision goggle's/scope's viewfinders are green. 8)

ive just gotta chime in because this thread is full of misinformation.

#1 - good luck replacing the 'led' that is lighting your screen. have you ever seen a screen on its own? its pretty thin. i dont think you can just take it apart and like change a light bulb....im pretty sure its pretty microtech stuff going on in there. yea i know they say 'led backlit' but again its not like i said a lightbulb or even a standard 'led' like you are thinkin.

#2 - the human eye picks up red better than any other color, green is most definitely not at the top of the list. have you ever seen a traffic light, a stop sign, or a nazi logo? red is what humans are most sensitive too. im pretty sure they made the screen greenish yello to cut costs, but a red screen would probably really get on yer nerves (im very interested in this picture and how you did it. too bad they **** it up, the old blue on white screens are beautiful

let me know if im wrong but lets set the shit straight HATERS :p
