Why not just run everything out from he mpc?

Yeah..when connected properly, everything should work ok..but since that is not the case, it seems...lets trouble shoot.

MPC 2500 OUT to MIDI In of the Voyager. That's it. Record some sequences and see if you have this problem. Then try the same steps with just the MPC and Triton.

Your right Jay it can't be a bug. I was just wondering if anyone esle was having the same problem. Bugs are hard to detect, until the 2500 is in action.

I think it's the midi thru ports. If the triton's midi capabilities are shaky, that explains the stuck note on the moog. The moog seems to be okay without the midi thru port. But the triton still seems to get a stuck note. Is happens when I play with multiple channels. I have other modules connected to the 2500 B, C and D ports. Thats why I can not have the moog connected directly to the 2500. I guess I have to use a midi thru box. The moog reacts slighty faster with out the midi thru port. I was told the evolver needed an os upgrade, so that may be the problem with that. Does the triton normally get a struck note? I never had this problem with the 4000. That's strange!

The MOOG is not multi-timbral right? If it isn't, you can connect it to one of your MPCs MIDI outs and use the Moog's MIDI THRU to route to another of your sound modules. You can assign it to MIDI channel 1 and let your multi-timbral synth have the other 15 channels of MIDI.

Yes, I have found the core of the problem-the Triton. So I guess i'll contact Korg for some input on how, or if possible, stopping the problem.

Run something from the midi thru of the triton to monitor the midi messages. Sounds like it's not getting the note off message. I remember the korg ms2000 used to do this. Maybe it's a korg thing. But I also think it's the triton.

Do you know how to stop the korg from doing this?

I don't have any ideas off the top about the Triton because I have used one in awhile. Is there a reason why you have to use the Triton's MIDI THRU?

Actually, I plan connecting through the moog first. (Thanks for the tip!)
If that doesn't work, I'll get a midi thru box. Even if I may not get a struck note with the moog, I still have to trouble shoot the triton issue. I had this problem for a while. I was making a track and the thing kept acting up. Just figured I ask the forum for help.

The Triton really does suk when it comes to using it with other MIDI devices.
