Have you installed a hard disk in your MPC 2500? Poll

I haven't... still using my 1 GB cf cards... I actually bought the HD at one point, and it wasn't the right one. Just haven't gone back. I'm planning on getting the cd and hd soon though...

just installed a 20 gig hd from my old thinkpad..

80gb the day after I bought it.

Are you guys talking about the dvd, c.d. slot, or the memory card slot? all this talk of 2, 3,10 gigs, has got me confused. I need the 128mb chip, is this the same thing?

i put a western digital 80GB hard drive and 256MB kingston RAM in there before i even turned it on for the first time lol...i was nervous but i had done my research!

i have 160 gig but it only reads 120 after the formatting

dam all you guys got em. na i got 2-4gb cf cards for free so thatll be fine til i get tons of time to play with it...maybe come summer ill get one

come august, i'll have had the my 2500 for about 2 years

I've yet to put a hard disk in, or upgrade from the 16mb

Though lately i've been thinking about it, its just the flash cards work so well for me in general since i'm always on the go.

Just curious, but why do all you guys with no harddrive not vote in the poll?

I put some generic SODIMM CL3 256MB SDRAM in and it worked fine.

I have installed a Western Digital 120GB PATA 2.5" harddrive with no problems.

harddrive is a must

Just picked up my 2500 today how do I install a HD and does anyone have a good place to buy ram online that will work with this thing

I just got a 160 gb drive for a hundred bucks. it only reads 130 after formatting though
