Why keep crying about the Akai OS when you have a free JJ OS that gives you everything you need and more? How do you even know if the JJ OS is not actually an Akai OS?

I am still waiting for you to post something useful for a change. All you do is cry.

Just throw your MPC out the window and get an MV or a Machine Drum. You will be mush happier and live longer. :P

"I hate the Akai OS. It suks. But the JJ OS gives me everything I need. Why don't Akai follow JJs lead and release another OS upgrade. JJ is the king! His OS works flawlessly. I will gladly pay $60 for the finished version!" Ok. I said it for you. Now go play with your MPC.

you're weird.

i'm not crying at all, i am just glad that mtc works!

JJ or AKAI, i don't care, all i needed was the MTC to work well. The new folder freezes and file corruption haven't happened yet with JJ's.

there really is no need to be that arrogant and mean jahrome. i'm surprised real life hasn't taught you that yet. its a dead-end.

i've just re-read you're post...i gotta ask: how come you really hit out against that JJ and his OS?

Don't you find what he did fantastic?

It's guys like that that will revive your old MPC in 15years, not akai!

I think that deserves encouragement. It may not be a perfect OS, but the effort certainly does not warrant your weird paranoia against it.

again, you are weird dude.

You have a handful of posts. All of them saying pretty much the same thing. Akai suks..blah..blah..blah.

At least come up with something original.

I have owned plenty of MPCs over the years. Does it really matter which OS you use?

And no...I don't find an OS in any MPC fantastic. They are just drum machines/sequencers. Nothing really amazing. Not too much different than any other MPC.

As far as the JJ OS. I do the exact same thing when Akai releases an OS. If I find a bug, I will report it here. If I come up with a work around to avoid the bug, I will report it here. Why do you even care about what I do? Remember that you are the one that responded directly/indirectly at me. I can sit up here and type childish insults as well as anyone.

Now let me eat my fried garlic and get some sleep :P

its true i tend to write in forums only when i have problems with gear.

well, you only read what you want into what i type (also this is not my first language), so of course i have to repeat because you don't understand. or you won't.

no, i said what he did is fantastic, tweaking the os like that, thats very cool i think. reverse engineering kindof...
you don't think thats cool, and thats the difference between u and me.

over.

My thoughts exactly. I posted this earlier. There is no other way to get the proper compiler and such.

You can dissassemble files, if you know what processor they have been written for...you can make changes to the code...its quite a lot of work though to analyze the structure....

Don't cop out by saying English is your second language. English is my second language as well (I grew up in Anyhood, USA :P ). You keep repeating your problems with saving and MTC(in every thread)...the only things you talk about Cool. Its understood. Not too many ways you can say it. I comprehend what you are trying to say.

What makes you think he reversed engineered anything? He could have the original source code? He could actually work for Akai?

So its cool that you find the OS fantastic. I am not really impressed. Its still a limited drum machine/sequencer (which is why I use it). To impress me...give the MPC the sequencing power of Nuendo, Cubase, Digital Performer, Logic, etc. That would be impressive.....better yet, I will keep it simpler. Accomplishing the things I wrote in this thread would be impressive/fantastic:

One more thing...please continue to come to the forum when you have problems with your gear. Most forum members will be happy to help you out...as long as you don't ask for help with something that is written in the manual or something that has been posted 1000x in other threads (such as saving :P )

Peace.

man, you sound jealous of that guy. you're too quick to remove any merit from his initiative. i've only read you getting paranoid over the JJ OS.

again, i find HIS INITIATIVE fantastic. stop exagerating. both OS aren't perfect.

hmmm...its pretty annoying to come here to say mtc doesn't work and get a reception like yours. i say that i find some people unnapreciative of the work of JJ and you begin your frustrated rantings etc...you're unpleasant at best.

really, you should work for akai as a tester. not customer support, just testing. at least you'd get paid for all the amount of time you spend trying to put the finger on MPC bugs.

Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I do actually own an MPC. I can choose to insert the OS of my choice. So, because I find and post any/all bugs I find with an OS, I am jealous? Yeah, the JJ OS had my MPC crashing and acting very un-MPC like. That's not paranoia. Its a fact. However, I have to add that I used the MPC for hours yesterday and didn't have a single problem.

I never said either OS was perfect, if you actually took the time to read. Exagerating? No. Just posted my experiences.

That is not the only thing you wrote. You had some sly remarks for me trying to earn so cool points from whoever. The truth is, you don't really know how to use your MPC to be productive and ask silly little questions. Questions that I and many others would have answered with no problems. Put to come at me with some sly remarks? I felt compelled to write a few words for you.

So what else do you need help with? Do you need a source for cheap non-Akai RAM? Do you need new pads? Do you need helping understanding the load menu? What do you need help with?

buddy, just because i said you were a negative voice for JJ's OS and now all these bullshit posts. come on, grow up.

can you help me make mtc work right with akai OS? i want it to slave to logic pro, to start and stop from Logic. Can you make it so I can save normally as in all other **** DAWs and Hardware synths? I don't think so, all you have is little time wasting workarounds. Plus just the fact that you don't need MTC proves we're not talking the same language here. We should stop now, its boring.

one OS version has system freezes on startup, one version has MTC right, one version hasn't, one version may corrupt overwritten files...i don't think anyone here can help with that...euh oh yes, JJ did, so shut up.

you cannot assume anything about me just because I haven't spent years in this forum posting 3000 messages. judging from that is called igorance, an ingredient you are mostly made of.

You are still crying about MTC  Let it go. It doesn't work for you with the Akai OS, so use the JJ OS  How many ways can you say that it doesn't work? Too bad you haven't figured out how to create music without MTC  I honestly feel for you. Your comments only proves that you have a hard time using your MPC and spend all your energy complaining to anyone that will listen to you. You need a hug.

I think I may finally understand you. It seems you can't get what you need from either OS. Well, return your MPC before you burst an artery or something.

I don't care how long you been in the forums. You have a hard time getting a drum machine to work. The problem is yours and not mine. I can use both OS do to what I need it to do.

I see that I am getting you worked up. Wow, it really wasn't that hard. You are right, I can't help you. Even when I explain it to you like you are a 3 year old. You just don't get it. Go play with the JJ OS and figure out how to work your MPC yourself. Your problems will not go away going back and forth with me. But I am here to entertain you whenever you return.

both of you need to just punch eachother in the face .....or SHADDDAP!

or one of u make a beat with the jj os and one of u make a beat with the akai os ....and see who is the king of their os.....till then let the mtc shit rest aswell as the jj bugs......their will be bugs in both os's no matter what way you look at it...

Which OS makes hotter beatz? That's really silly.

Dude needs to learn how to use what he has or get rid of it. I am currently using both operating systems. My 2500 can do everything I need it to do and more. Once Red Ketchup gets to a certain level of comfort with all his toys, he will have something to talk about more than...  My MTC is broke and I can't save my work

And I will always post bugs I find. What would be the point in hiding these facts. So others will be aware..such as Red Ketchup. By just doing a little reading/research, he wouldn't be as frustrated as he is now. Maybe he needs a girlfriend.....

you're my new hero.

Have you ever done postprod projects? It is evident now that your "workflow" does not involve the same kind of stuff that i need it to do, so you can stop imagining things...

I bought my MPC2500 new, paid a lot of cash for it, and was disappointed that the MTC didn't work. Who wouldn't be? Since there is a lot of cool stuff about it that like I decided to keep it, but seriously, I thought Akai would have fixed this a long time ago.
