well, from I read these are the two added features over the 4000:

Patched cliche –Phrase Samples to each speed without pitch change adapt
(I guess this means real-time tilestretching)

SAM-polarize Recording in the MAIN PAGE – Easy Sampeln during the Sequencing

other than that I don t see anything new (only thing might be the internal flash card reader but this can be mounted into a 4000, it just doesn't come standard)

damn fellas! Quelle response, hé ?

you can buy a new 4k for 2 grand (with options)
you can buy a new 2.5k for 2 grand (without options)

i know what I want.. yep the big white boy ;) .. without the chopshop ... dont need it, hate Recyclish chopping... its not accurate enough

but that 2.5 black boy looks soooo sweet on your lap   ... you knwo what I mean  Im not a paedophile :)

it's the warrantee that gets me, I usually have a limit of not going over $1000 buying used gear on the bay with no warrantee.

plus i'd rather have the 2.5k over the 4k

The recycle-like chopping thing "chopshop".. The 4k doesnt have this either. Although all these features could quite possibly come in a OS update for the 4000. And dont bet they all will be there when they start selling the machine.. It took over 3 years for the 4k OS to get close to what was announced...

ok, If I get it, the 2500 will be able to chop into oneshots ?

that s hot

they could get that easily with an OS update on the 4000, jus need to use the same algorithm

thanks Kalei for the input

so can the 1000.

I thinkit looks dope, if it has real time tstretch and pitchshift, it's incredible.

I got this excited when akai announced the 1000, only to be dissapointed at some design decisions (lack of track velocity).

One thing I like about it already is that it approaches the 4k in features but seems to not use the utterly annoying multi structure that the 4k and S6000 does, listing samples and how you assign them into programs is so backward IMO. The one with the white backlight looks realy dope, but I don;t want to get too excited because I think Akai is going to **** it up somehow, I think even the 1k people are still waiting for bug fixes and better timing.
