MPC 2500 Discontinued?

will the 2500 se ever be released in america?

It's strange. They are on the shelves Japan and parts of Europe, but nothing in North America. I would think with Numark being based here in the US the initial bunch would hit the shelves.

OTOH- this could be a slap in the face to US retailers for the way they phased it out.

Anyway, we know it's are out there. This guy in Germany is unboxing it. Looks good!

after all this speculation and visiting the akaipro website, DO we in fact have Official word that the 2500 is discontinued? does anyone know directly from Akai what the situation is?

It is really very strange that The MPC 2500 is discontinued. I am so confuse to say that Akai has already stock of it. It seems to be also find it as well. I hope that We will get right information as well as soon.

I talked to a broad at Akai, she said if it does hit shelves here, it will be at earliest second quarter 2011. Thats all i could muster up.
