Low Blow! lolololololololol. now im askin again are you sure cause to give you more info on the mpc1000 i had to record program changes on one midi channel, record notes on another miditrack (same channel) then press play just to change the sound!

I know that Akai messed up this function with the MPC 1K. That is among several things that made me pass on getting one.

You can make program changes in each track independently. I connected the MPC 2500 to an XV-5080 and set the XV in performace mode where a different instrument is on each MIDI channel. You can turn program changes on or off for each track. When it is turned on, you can select the sounds you want to use for each track from the MPC. So if you want this feature and you have an MPC 1000..what are you waiting for
