to really say but Im sure there are some. I just wish you could chop shop a stereo sample and not just a mono one. That was one of the biggest features. It's still great but no stereo chopping!!!???? Thats an OS update if I ever saw one.

While we are waiting for this feature that wasn't promised...we can chop two MONO samples and assign them to one pad

While we are at it...I request to have the in-track sampling function record straight to the optionally installed hard disk drive.

You asked this question twice now! I suggest you read up on these forums and Akai's website. The answers are all here. While you're at it... TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK!!!! :P

So that makes 7 MPC 2500 users in the forum thus far :D

I just got word that my Akai CD Rom drive was shipped yesterday. I should have it by the end of the week/beginning of next week. Then I will have a maxed out MPC 2500 :P

But there may/may not be one more option.....has anyone taken a look at the port the holds the MPC 2500's memory? If so, what do you think that additional white port is for?

Yeah I looked at it. It might be nothing more than a test port for the circuit board. Either that or a small card plugs into the port to enable something. But what? Obviously not an VGA because this is on the bottom of the MPC in a small space with a cover. So it might be an enhanced effects board or something like that.
