multi timbral?

The 4000 is multi-timbral as has been said.

One way to kinda do what you are trying to do is to load the midi file from your MPC for your sequence into cubase and it will load all the tracks, have all the midi data, and what not for you. Then just assign sounds to the tracks in cubase...

i guess i just happened to understand his wording while others didnt follow, but anyway re-reading it I agree that people like Jahrome gave the full answer right from the start, so i take back what i said about people not knowin midi.

The 2500 is now multi timral JJ OS XL 2.3.. Its crazy..

As I have mentioned before, the MPC 2500 is not a multi-timbral sound module. No one in their right mind would buy it to work the way I think you are trying to communicate. The MPC 2500 is used to control multi-timbral synths, including software synths (Reason, Cubase VSTi, ect). WHen using the MPC with another sequencer, you don't want the external sequencers tracks to play whats loaded into the MPC. The best method is to lock the external sequencer with the MPC using MTC, MIDI clock, or MMC.
