urei 1176? That doesn't have tubes. Or do you mean through a Tube preamp and then through the 1176?

yeah, through. 1176 is a fet compressor, so no tubes there.


edit. ok so there's new features on the 2500. why should i spend around 1000€ for those features? (selling the 1k, buying 2500, shipping, upgrades etc). i could get a nice 2-channel neve preamp clone for that amount of money or something similar.

is there a reason why one should pay around a grand for the features on the 2500?

It was just a joke There is nothing wrong with the MPC 1000, although I don't care for the pads. But if it gets the reported OS update using almost the same OS as the MPC 2500, I will be picking one up immediately.

I guess I find my jokes funny when everyone else doesn't. My bad.

Not IF I get one. I will get one if the OS is updated. But it won't be for my personal use since I have a 2500.
