I like it. It looks very good, and the layout of the controls looks very well though-out. I like that they used the wheel/cursor from the 2kxl and not the 1k. It takes the best bits of the 1000 and 2kxl and puts them together. If it sounds as good as the 2kxl, has the same tight sequencer, and if it has mute groups (like on the 1000), I might be tempted... But not for at least a year - wait for the price to drop or s/h units to show up.
other things I like:
- sampling when sequence is running
- 2 multi-mode filters per voice
- 2 faders, 2 knobs (hopefully do start/end point in sample edit)
- 4 midi outs
- FX + 10 outs + s/pdif I/O as standard
- 'chopshop' sounds interesting...
