seems like they rushed the release of this updated o.s. without testing it out thoroughly, but with the quick responses from us in this forum, they get free beta testers for their O.S.s and know where to look for bugs and what features people want added in future O.S. updates. that being said I hope they drop another O.S. in a month or two solving all the rest of the minor bugs with the midi notes, and the note repeat and hope they add hot new features or should I say old features like "simult" and more timbre or polophony as the 2kxl has (seems like the 2500 cuts off a sound if you have too many sounds going at once in a sequence, like you have reached headroom clipping but no matter where your levels are or how you try to filter it, it still drops some part out, but the same programs and sounds and the same sequence coming out of my 2kxl plays all of the sounds in the sequence as recorded, go figure?). I would really like the idea of multi layer filtering and 4 band E.Q. per pad, along with simult and the ability to actually play all these sounds stacked and E.Q.ed the way you want individually, probably would blow the roof off the mutha and make it a wrap. with 1.2 I had my first wrong file error when loading from hard disk the other night, it totally lost my programs I had worked on all day. When I went to load it the next day, only one out of four programs loaded. I would have been really mad if I didn't back up to cf.They need to check on that though, that can be a bummer bout the size of a hummer.

Oh you might love this, you might not
I'm having difficulty using MTC with Sonar 5 I CALL Akai Tech support.
I get King Richard on the phone, he asks me what is my problem?
here is the conversation that follows:
newmp: (assured) I'm having difficulty using MTC with the MPC 2500
King Richard: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the 2500 doesn't support MIDI TIME CODE (matter of factly like the Richard he is)
newmp: (losing confidence)
What! you just released an update on wednesday May 10th! the machine now supports MTC.
King Richard: uhhh ok what are your settings do u have MMC on
newmp:(pissed by now)
Do I have MMC on (I should go UP to RHODE ISLAND and smack Sh@t out this MF!) Yes I have MMC on I'm able to control the Transport on my MPC from my software.
King Richard: Uhhhhhhh what software r using
I tells him
King Richard: Yeah you should contact them.
^^^^^^^These are the poeple on the frontline???
Not to take anything away from the people who don't have any gripes AKAI

Why do you even bother with Akai Tech support when you have all the support you need from folks that actually own/use MPCs here? I contact support only to report problems that I encounter with the OS..never for solutions......but that's just me......

Well... I posted on the board 1st then I f@#$ked with my setup
I racked my brain then I F#$%ked with my setup some more
finally I called tech support
the only reason I even called them was bcause I figured THEY'd be in the know.
It's kind of difficult getting a simple answer around here with O.S. 1.2 out
from the people who AREN'T having problems, bcause THEY are making music.
then you have guys like me that haven't really made sh@t ever since the O.S. Came out. Due to whatever issue(s) they are having
I'm not giving up but at this point My MP is off I've had enough for one day!

I second that. You'll do much better here in the forums. I've had all my problems answered here if not on my own.

Not to skip around but early we discussed this problem. First I had this problem...now today I don't. I can record and playback all 88 notes from my master controller........
As far as the other problems...we may need to get better organized and dedicate one topic per thread...or not
