you can't use the effects with the individual outs?

i just realized this...sucks....i'm just starting to use the individual outs and i'd love to be able to use the bit grunger.....

if you're tracking out, mute all of the other sequences and send the tracks with the effects through the main outs one by one

but then again, if you were tracking out you could just use the effects and plugins from your DAW which is personally the method i use anyway (owned the 2500 for almost 6 months and didn't notice this until you brought it up). filters still work, so no real biggie. i guess akai figured if you were using the individual outs you'd be using the DAW for your effects.

easy work around though if you have reverb on small chops and don't feel like dealing with it.

the only thing that bothers me is not being able to use the the bit grunger with the indiv outs....oh well. i guess i can track them separate.

i just realized i can use the mpc effects on two sounds at a time using the stereo outs with the indiv outs ...so for example i can use bit grunger on kick and pan it hard left to send it out the left stereo out, then use it on the snare and pan hard right to send out the right stereo out....then just send all the other stuff out the indiv outs....i really just like bit grunger on kick and snare...i dont really have a plug in that gives me that sound. two outs with it is enough so im good....

You still have the option of resampling the sample with the effects.

Maybe a few emails to Akai to see if they will add this in a future OS update. The MPC 5K can route effects to the individual outputs.

^ unfortunately i was told about a year ago that it's due to the nature of the hardware that the effects of the 1000/2500 cannot be routed to the individual outs. there was a diagram and everything, which i don't think i have anymore. it's good that the 5000 can do it, esp since i've heard that those effects are more decent, usable and varied.

in the case of the 1000/2500, like someone else said, i guess the idea is that if you're using the individual outs for tracking/mixdown, the assumption is that you have access to better quality effects via vst or external hardware

hey Rocknoid: you can record the sample back into the mpc with effect. Just go to to the record window and set the input to main out. You wont see levels but its recording. Just remember when you assign this new sample with effect on it you got to live with it now. You must also turn off the the effect send so the sample wont get processed twice.

thanks trackheadz....yeah i hear you about re-sampling the effected sounds...that's good if you need more than 2 effected sounds...like i said, you can still have up to 2 separate samples at a time sent with effects individually if you pan two separate tracks in the mixer assigned to the main outs and panned hard right and left....

I mean this could just help if do not want to track out only 2 tracks at a time.Stereo out L & R. By Resampling and assigning your resampled sounds with effects to specific pads you can send out and record 10 tracks at atime!!!!

i feel you... but in my case i really just use the bit grunger on kick and sometimes snare. for everything else my plugins for PT sound far better than the 2500 internal effects...
