"Wrong Card"

I am trying to update my MPC 2500's OS to the latest, but every time I get this mesage that says 'Wrong Card ! !" I know the card is fine because it works perfectly for storing samples and all the usual tasks. Any suggestions?

format the card.
make sure the bin file is in the root fo the card.
maybe use the card that came with the mpc if ur using something else that is?
thats all i can think of , im still a mpc noob lol
