I updated the OS to 1.24 for Akai and tried to use the chop shop feature to chop up a sample and assign it to different pads, when I hit the chop button it took extremely long to load up and chop up the sample and it was a short sample.OS 1.23 didn't have this problem. Whats up with that?!? I thought with each new update it will be less bugs. Is there any way of getting around this instead of going unofficial with JJOS???

the os 1.24 introduced the ability to open and save chopshop 2.0 (stereo) programs made with the mpc 5000 on the mpc 2500.
this seems to have broken the original speed of the chopshop. akai fixes some bugs and introduces new ones and some old ones on the way. for instance there was a problem recording very low midi notes in the first few os versions - then it was gone and all 88 notes recorded fine - but now it is here again. also the solo function in the main page is not working on midi tracks which i can solo perfectly in the mute screen. so akai are you listening? we are waiting for os 1.25
