MPC2500 + keyboard connection Issue.,, please help....

Ive figured out how to connect my keyboard to my mpc and be able to sync..
My main question is? How can i use different sounds on different tracks while still keeping what i have recorded with the keyboard... Once ive finished recording seq and like it i move onto the next track to add some more sounds from the key board but i am not able to because once i change the sound on my keyboard the previous recorded track changes also....
Is this because the mpc only records the notes and not the sound....if thats the case , then why even use a keyboard????

this must be one of the most asked questions around here...

but anyways, to playback more than one different sound from a midi keyboard you need to use more than one midi channel. also your keyboard must be able to be in performance/sequencer mode and act as a multitimbral sound module. look up your keyboards documentation on how to sync to an external sequencer. on some keyboards you need to use the msb and lsb numbers to tell the keyboard which program and bank to use (most likely if your keyboard has more than 128 different sounds on it).
if you told us which keyboard you own there might been more specific answers...

In the Mpc (PGM Section) Putbit on (No.1) and highlight the 1 and hit window an from there you'd have to find the keyboards bank info and other...

What was the advice at the end of the video about the midi sync and programs to get rid of the delay ?

when you hit "PLAY" You will notice that it does not create the delay. When you hit "PLAY START" it does create the delay. The way to avoid this it to go back to all of your MIDI tracks that you used on your MPC and turn the Pgm: to "OFF" (Prg:OFF) and then hit "PLAY START" and you should be all good, If later on you want to change the voice of a track Put the Pgm: back to the "No." field (Pgm:No.###), and make your adjustments. Make sure you save the new setting though. PEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEE!

I had the same problem im using the roland sh 201 synth and its not a multitimbral sound module it only has 1 channel through the midi.... and like selecta jo said telling us what keyboard u have would be a lot of help
