MPC 2500 & Soundcard/ Mixer

Who here sync's their MPC with their DAW then tracks out with all 8 outputs at once?

Im asking because I have a soundcard that only has one input. I want to know what hardware you guys are using and could recommend to me.

Or could I just use a dope mixer with 8 inputs? Im guessing thats what people use...

Using all my 8 outs on my 2500

im using a digi 002 rack and a panasonic da7 mixboard running pro tools 7.3 but you can solo each track and do em 1 at a time as long as you have a midi out on your sound card that you can sync teh mpc 2500 with midi time code and just do em one at a time it sucks but hey use what you got to get what ya want baby! i sync my joint up with a midi cable out from the digi 002 but you can get a digi 002 with mixer check craigs list in your area they are going fairly cheap these days and you get 8 ins and 8 outs and if you get a alesi ai 3 you can get 16 in and 16 out..on the cheap!

Works great, highly recommend it.
But I still do it 1 track at a time cuz I run every sample through one of these...

and then into the insert on the FW1884 so it bypasses the preamp and gain on the board.
Which has waaaay better sound. The time it takes to do it is pain in the ass, but you spend 3 g's on a channel strip, better put it 2 work.

I'm using echodigital audiofire 12 and that's the s**t!!!!
the only problem is the missing MIC preamp input but i cop a mixer to solve this!!!

Now i can track mpc 8 out with the 8 direct out mixer and record with audiofire12!!!

I take the 8 outs into my Allen & Heath GS3, then do loads of routing stuff with the aux sends (sidechaining, sending to reverbs and other rack effects, etc), then I end up with 4 affected stereo group channels that have compressors on the inserts that go directly into my RME Fireface 800 for recording. I've also got a couple of analogue synths and drum machines that I sync from the mpc and throw into the A&H. I sync my DAW to the mpc with MTC.

I love my Fireface and have had nothing but joy with it (nice sound, very good S/N ratio, loud, extensive routing options with the software mixer), but would possibly recommend an RME PCIE equivalent nowadays for the only reason that the PCIE data bus has less contention. I got my fireface before I had PCIE slots in my compy.

Anyone fvuck wit the new m-audio line of interfaces that are "compatible with pro tools m-powered8"? 2whats the difference between that and regular protools?

i use a digi002 with Ableton Live. Midi out of the 002 to Midi in of the 2500. You can dump 1 at a time by using solo and the main outs or you can use the 8 outs.

Pro Tools M-Powered is the same as ProTools LE, just made for M-Audio products.
