Install the latest OS, download and read the latest manual addendum, then try again. This function doesn't work on older OSes.

thanks i went to the akai website and actually emailed for help and they gave me this:

1. Once you have your sequences in the proper order in [SONG] Mode, use
the [F4] (Convrt) button to convert this Song to a Sequence
2. Go back to the 'Main' screen and make sure the sequence that is being
displayed is your newly converted Song
3. Turn 'Loop' OFF
4. Press [MODE] + [RECORD] (Pad5)
5. Use the DATA wheel to change 'Input' to 'Main Out'
6. Increase the 'Time' field to reflect the length of your Song (or
simply max it out)
7. Press [F6] (Record) and then press [Play/Start]
8. When your Song is finished, press [F6] (Stop)
9. If you are happy with the recording, name the file and then press [F6]
(Enter) and then [F5] (Keep)
10. [MODE] + [SAVE] the file to a CF Card or the internal Hard Drive
11. In the "Save" menu, press [F3] (Utility)
12. Change "Do:" Field to "Write Audio CD"
13. Browse to the newly saved Song (either on the CF Card or Internal Hard
Drive)
14. When you finish burning, make sure you "Close Session" to make the CD
readable....

What? ???

What's the problem really? How to burn a WAV file is in the manual. How to produce a WAV file from your sequences is in the manual. Add 1 and 1 together.

Hey Numbnuts!!!! I couldnt find it in my manual! thanks for the effort though. Thank you to those positive helpful people. i was able to create sequence and record it into the mpc's maint out and then write the tracks onto a cdr. I close the session and i got me a cd in the wip. now i just have to work on automations and mixing on the MPC 2500
