Updating the OS from 1.22 to 1.24?

Hello

I just got my MPC 2500 yesterday and it came loaded with Akai OS 1.22

I want to Update it to Akai OS 1.24. Can I just download the 1.24 update from Akai's website and install it? Or do I have to update to 1.23 first, then go to 1.24?

i'm gonna update to 1.23

i heard from a bunch of people that 1.24 is too buggy and moves slow. they said 1.23 is pretty solid.
