New MPC user and a few issues

Recently bought a used MPC off of Ebay, love the 2500 then found realized the left
side of the stereo output isnt output audio or basically anything So removed the
cover etc.. checked the PCB where the main outout pot is and see no bad solder
joints, put it all back together and called AKAI. They refered me to their tech company in NJ which is no problem it just mean a 2 week turn around time.

I did see that PCB on an MPC site for $75, has anyone had this type of probem?
The stereo out and headphone out seems to be tied together obviously.

I did upgrade the internal ram to 128mb and got a cool sample CD, now in the
Load function I went through the menu and saw "50 drum kits" and then next folder
1 through 50. When I load a single kit, and get back to menu to start recording the drum samples arent on the pads...do I need to assign each drum to a pad even though its loaded in RAM? I'm guessing they would have to be in a "Program" to load up to the pads. I've only had the MPC for a week or so, read the manual it came with, been on You tube and watched every video I could. I'm sure I'm missing
one step, it should be an easy fix.

dont know about the problem with the outs , but say u load a kit with 16 drum samples.....if there is no program file in the folder, then u will have to assign them to each pad....the program is what tells the samples where to go . if its just a folder with sounds then load them , and create the program and name it the same as the folder u drew from.

Thanks, I had a feeling that was the case, seems a little time consuming due to the fact that there are so many samples to go through. Good advice for naming folders.... I can already tell that depending on how well organized your file system is and how samples are saved, it'll make for quick loading and less confusion. Next quest I think will be bumping to JJOS after I get this thing back from service...I'm running AKAI 1.23.
