Friend of mine spilled beer all over his 2500, What to Do?

A friend of mine was having a recording session when someone accidentally spilled beer all over his 2500, i mean literally on the pads, is the thing doomed or is it fixable... I told him to turn the thing over backwards and let it sit like that for at least 48 hours before he tried to turn it back on since that is the advice most people give when you spill anything on your computer...
Any Suggestions besides bashing him for being a Dum ass.....
If for some reason it doesn't work,,,Will replacing the pad sensors be the next option??

never actually seen or dealt with a spill on an mpc. but with most wet electronics the best course of action is getting it as dry as possible as soon as possible. but another factor in your friend's situation is that its beer which complicates things further. like even after it dries, the residue it might leave inside could interfere with some of the hardware. especially with how sensitive the pads are.

Would Taking it apart and cleaning the inside be the best bet??

It'd take it apart, clean it, and let it air out for a week. And never at any point turn it on . . .

Tell your friend - Don't let people drink or smoke around any of his equipment, The same IDIOTS that say "AWW Man, I Aint Gonna Spill Nothing On Your Equipment" Are the same BROKE, DIRESPECTFUL, IDIOTS that will Spill something on your equipment ((Who knows, They might do it on purpose) HATERS!!!!!!!) Bottom line, if they cannot respect your equipment, Don't have them around your equipment!

Best advice is to just not deal with 'friends' like that and keep people close to you that you know are trustworthy.

If that means only a few people around you, so be it. If I did that to a friend's property I'd be offering to pay for its repair seconds afterward. I don't even put my own drinks close to my equipment, let alone other people's.

Beer is much better to have spilled on your equipment than Soda, but given a choice Water would be best.
Most important (as was mentioned above) is to make sure that no power is applied to it until you have had a chance to clean it and let it dry thoroughly. I just hope your friend got it disconnected from power soon enough.
I actually resurrected an MPC that had Coke (the drink, not the powder stuff ) spilled in it.
I had MPC all over the kitchen for about 2 days, but got it all working before it was over and while I was at it got the entire thing REALLY clean - so there is hope.

All drinks (usually only tea in my crib) are kept in the lap or on the floor. If there is beer in the lab (which has happened on occaision), the same rules apply. No standin around drinkin and actin a fool with a drink in your hand. I shut sessions down for that shyt!

I'd leave it be.
Beer is mostly water and other natural ingredients.
Similar to water, once it evaporates there is no danger of anything short circuiting - so as long as no initial damage was done you are probably OK (moving parts that may gain some rust not-withstanding.)
Had it been pop, the acidity and ingredients of the syrup would worry me and I would clean it.
