hey folks.

Set up my usb connection to my windows xp laptop and everything was working fine. I tried to load one too many sample kits onto my flash card before it said drive/destination full (1 gig flash card). Deleted about half of the samples off there after that so I had used up about 500 mb of space (obviously). Now when I go to drop samples into the mpc folder it says it can't create directory (?) and won't let me add any more samples onto the mpc, despite there being a load of free space.

Suggestions?

when viewing the mpc flashcard folder from the computer, can you create new folders there to drop the new samples into?

(reason i ask is because it's Much easier to manage folders viewing on the computer than from within the mpc)

Sometimes with cards/memory devices you need to empty the trash (or recycle bin on PC) after deleting the files while it is still connected to the computer for the free space to be recognized correctly. On my mac it is this way for my MPC cards, usb thumb drives, PSP, my Blackberry...etc, etc. Give it a try.
