So I go into the studio yesterday and turn everything on. When the 2500 was booting up, it stayed on the OS screen for nearly a minute and the hard drive just kept making a wierd clicking noise while this was going on, similar to the click of death with the zip drives. Once it finally did bott up, it worked normal. I back up all my shyt immediately, but anyone ever have this happen?

and don't forget to defrag..
also check your autoload etc. to see if there are any unrecognisable (sp) files that could be conflicting..

this has never happened to me.. but you might've just had a large file in memory or something.

what os are you using? what size hard drive and type are you using? did you buy the MP with the hard drive or install it yourself?

how are you saving your beats?

i create a folder and name it, then Save Entire Memory for the beat in that folder. when you reload the beat, go into that folder and load the Entire.

i would back everything up onto your PC, then reformat the hard drive and transfer the files back.

that sux fam. Let me know how you make out.
