Hi guys,

Do you any way to cut a "one-shot" sample as soon as you switch the track off in MUTE MODE ?
For the moment it only mutes at the end of the sample and I would need to be able to cut it while it's playing.

cheers!

I'm at work so I don't know for sure, isn't it under [mode] + Pad 10?? Look around in there first...

thanks a lot that's where it is.

But it finally doesn't answer my problem.

If you have some time here it is :

I'm currently moving from a akai Z8, which was a sampler only, to a MPC 2500.
I was used to play with the loops in "latch mode" or "trigger mode" whatever you call it.
Meaning that I drop loops which are at the same tempo but arent the same length. It allows me to arrange a song live. I don't want to have all a song sequenced to keep a live feeling.
I was thinking then that moving to the MUTE MODE to the MPC was OK and that I could do the same.
I just needed to have one sequence per song with all the loops needed and switching them off/on.

But my problem is with the longer loops.
For example I have a 2 bars sequence where all the 2 bars loops fit but I have a one shot sample which is 8 bars.
I would like to send it whenever I want and cutting whenever I want.

How could I do ?

thanks A LOT

You could turn it from "one shot" to "note on" and just hold it for as long as you need it to play. Or you can leave it on one shot and set another pad to mute it and just play/record that pad at the time you need it to cut off the loop.
