Problems Loading Sequences and Programs says "Wrong File!!"

I've recently purchased the Mpc2500le and some of my programs and sequence wont load..it says "Wrong File!!"

i made a beat last night..all the samples are still saved and will load.
the sequence and program names show up..but they DON'T load.
this has been happening with most of the beats Ive made i save them turn the machine off turn it back on..and they load..wake up the next morning turn it on..and they dont.

I can only tell you I share your pain. This has been very frustrating for me with my 2500. It has gotten to the point that now when I try to "save all sequences & songs" it says file already saved (which it's not) then when I hit replace it still won't let me save it. A small black screen pops up saying file taken or something retarded like that.
I reloaded the OS (I'm using the 1.24) and reformatted my 80 GB hard drive. After doing this twice in a row my baby was acting right... for two days Now it's back to the same annoying wrong file, file not found, or file name taken B.S. One thing I will say is I have no problem saving to my memory card which would great if I didn't spend 100 bucks upgrading to the 80 gb.

The best I can tell you is to reload OS and see what happens. If you get any better advice please let me know as I am still suffering myself. Good luck!

O yeah and reformat hard drive

Have you guys made sure you are working with 16-bit (44100) samples? I had the "wrong file" problem until I ran all my samples (i.e., drums and instruments) through a program called "switch" in order to make sure all of my samples were in the proper format. Try it, it may help. Later.

yea i almost Chris Brown'd my 2500 when it kept happening to me...its to the point where i dont even turn off the thing anymore (is that safe?) lol...i tried saving it different ways, save entire memory works kinda but sumtimes it wont load certain samps i have in certain programs...verrry verrry frustrating...WTF???

The only time I've seen the "Wrong File" message is when I've accidentally put 24-bit files on the card.
As for the saving thing. I used to have the same problems with saving and loading. Since I've come up with the method that's explained in the link below, I've never had one single problem! And that was about 3 years ago now. Give it a try.
