hi!

as a mpc 2500 user i was sick with those stiff pads that felt really bad under the fingers.
so i decided to do something about this.

i too a normal pencil eraser and started rubbing off the pads....
it just took me a couple of moves on each pad and they area really better now, the seem softer and have a better grip!

it really worth to try!

just keep in mind to rub all over the pad, not just the center. and dont forget bout those edges... they need some attention too!

and if you're afraid that the ruber will go under the pads, just unscrew the top cover, take the rubber pads out, rub them with the eraser on your desk or somewhere and then put them back in...

i hope you'll like them!

cause i do

peace

The 2500 pads are as soft as the 2kxl in my opinion, so I don't see the problem. :?

Man! You would think it was a bunch of chics making beats on this forum. "My jog wheel is clicking too loud" "My pads hurt my fingers" "My screen color doesn't match my shirt"

Hahaha! J/K! But for real... :?

It's a tough comparison to make, cuz who has a brand new 2000XL to compare it to. All the 2000XL's i've been on already had the pads worn in. The 2500 pads seemed a bit stiff but after about 3 years now, they're softening up quite nicely. It could just be that new MPC pads take a bit to get worn in.

I don't get what this is supposed to do. Make the rubber softer?? Wear out the pads? Erase vulgar words that someone wrote on MPC pads with a led pencil?

How is this a "trick"?

Do u experience any differences in pads between those two machines?

I got both my MPC's brand new and don't notice a difference in the pads. The 2500 does feel stiffer, but it's not the pads that is stiffer, I think it's the actual machine and what is supporting the pad board. None of this silly shit bothers me. I just make beats. None of these complaints even ever came to my mind until I read them here!

Word! But yo Muggin, if it really bothers you that much, you can try to find those "Fat Pads" they used to sell for the 3000 years ago. They look stupid to me, but they may solve your problem!

I can't find them no where. I'll post em when I find them. There were some on ebay a couple months ago.
