This *!@#!ing wrong file bug!!

Is there anything I could be doing to be the cause of this "file name already taken" when trying to save or "wrong file" when I', trying to load? I have the latest 1.24 OS from Akai. I have reformatted my hard drive three times and reloaded the OS, just to have the problem pop up a day or two later. Is there possibly something I'm doing to cause this? Is there a way to let my computer (Windows Vista) scan the MPC hard drive and fix any errors? (I have an 80GB Toshiba upgrade by the way and now the same problem is occurring with my Scandisk memory card) I've just lost two hot beats to this nonsense. I couldn't even save it, to back it up onto my computer. This is killing me. Any suggestions would be great as I don't know what to do. By the way, I searched for similar bugs under the 2500 JJOS tag. I found a couple of people complaining about the same thing, with people giving suggestions, but no real conclusion. No one ever said if the problem was fixed. Thanks again for any tips.

i feel you man, i've been in the situation more than once. the only thing i can suggest is get the jj os. i have had it for over a year and i have never had any problems with saving or loading. i know this probably isnt what you want to hear.

Thanks man. I'm so desperate right now, I'll try anything someone says works for them.
