Is there a certain way a cd must be formatted for use with an mpc2500? I have sounds on my computer that burned onto a disc but the mpc will not read it. I looked in the manual and did not see a way to format a disc in the mpc, so I assume it gets formatted in my computer prior to burning the files, but so far the way I have done it using windows obiviously does not work. The only thing the mpc reads is the title of the disc.

yesterday i tried to sample from a cd that has a data track on it and a second track with 10 wave files. this cd plays fine in any cd player starting with track 2 and just skipping the data part.
if i put the same cd into my mpc i can see the data track and navigate to all subfolders, but the second track is not even recognized so there is no way to access the wave files on that particular cd.

@groovetrak: can you tell us more detail about that file you try to burn (some dr.dre kits, right..?). maybe the file creates a hybrid cd with a data and a music part? maybe the cd is in a specific format for a certain sampler (akai 5000/6000, emu, or kontakt, battery or redrum...)?
also, if you can read the cd in the computer - why not transfer whatever files you want over usb to the mpc?
