I am new to the MPC 2500. I had a MPC 2000, and now I am trying to figure out the 2500.
I am trying to do Direct-Record, and after playing, I assign it to a pad and then try and press Play/Record to add it to a sequence but its not allowing. It says "WAITING FOR MIDI PLAY".
What does that mean?
I am getting confused here. Is my set up wrong?
I have the my keyboard L/Mono R (main) to my MPC Record In
My MPC Stereo Out to the mixer Line 1, 2
Basically, I tried following the example in the manual and its not working.
Can anyone help me with my set up and let me know what "WAITING FOR MIDI PLAY" means?
I have the 2500, a tascam mixer, a turntable and a keyboard.
