Need Help Slaving Juno-D to MPC2500

Hey i'm a long time lurker, and this is my first post.. I have a mpc2500 and a roland juno-d .. I want to slave the keyboard so I can use the sounds off of it to add to my drum tracks. I have my mpc running into the fast track pro and those into my monitors. I have midi out of mpc into midi in on juno -d .. I have the mpc set up like it should be to slave the juno-d just a hard time with the keys. do i plug the juno d into one of the lines of the fast track cause it won't pick it up? I need help.. anything.. i've tried what the manual for the juno-d says and it doesnt seem to help..

Yes, you'll need some way of getting the outputs of the Juno to the speakers. All the MPC will be recording is midi note data.

I'm plugging it into one of the lines and its not even detecting anything..

Read the manual. Input Thru.

Not true with the 2500. Again, Input Thru.

I don't understand the whole input thru? Could you tell me what to plug in where? Do I need a DJ mixer?

Obviously, you didn't read his initial post that said he had just the midi connection hooked up to the juno...therefore his MPC would be set-up to do midid note data and not audio.
Input thru only works on audio inputs...so yes I am correct on this one.

umm. im still confused.

Send the audio out of the Juno into the MPC In's and turn on "Input Thru" the button is up next to the Gain nob, This allows audio that is put into the MPC In's to be played "thru" the mpc live w/ out having to go into record. Once your ready to record your synth pattern etc.. use one of the Audio tracks(61-65) by highlighting "track" and hitting Shift then pressing I believe f4 or one of those to get to tracks 61-65. Hit OVERDUB+Play Start to record while being able to hear the original beat, if you just hit rec+play start you do not hear any other tracks BUT the track you are recording audio too.

Hey i got the input thru to work, but im having trouble finding those audio tracks? I highlight the track and push shift and all that but its not working..

Oops this is only for JJOS, I thought when I was responding I was in the JJ forum. JJOS has the option to record to audio tracks, the original Akai OS does not.

Okay. I read your initial post wrong. I took it as you saying that all the MPC was able to record is MIDI data.
