how to have one sample stopping all others?

hi,i got the 2500 and i would to hit a pad with one samples who will stop all others played when i hit this pad???thanxxx

To answer the question.

You can set the sample "mute group" for a pad so that once you hit say pad A1 you can have the sample on pad A2 "mute" pad A1's sample..

Theres no way to select a pad that will mute all other samples when pressed because you are only allowed 4 "mute groups" per pad.

Example... Say you have samples on pads 1-15, you can set pad 16's mute group to mute only 4 of the other samples, theres not really a way around this unless you did say "Note On" for each pad... which is a whole nother subject...

okay thanxx so i will continue to do some erase..its like if i wanna solo a pad but when recording my sequence and not in track mute window

I dont know if your aware, but JJOS allows you to record track mutes, so if you are looking to Solo a pad or Mute Everything for however long, you could record those in track mute, just make sure you highlight "Mute: OFF" and hit open window, a popup will come up saying "Playback Track Mutes" or something along these lines. Just make sure its set to "ON" or else it wont playback track mutes.

Combined with mute groups you should be able to achieve what you want, although it may take more than a single pad to mute everything.

Sorry, but he's not. By setting the whole program to Mono, you effectively only allow one sample of that program to play at once. I guess that's not what the OP wants when he says "stop all others".

The only way is to use Mute Groups, even if you have to use several pads to mute more then 4 pads, as you correctly realized yourself. And as there is nothing like the "simult" function on the 2500 anymore, you cannot cascade Mute Groups either.

Simult is alive and well in JJos2xl.

i m on free jjos and i can record track mutes in track mute window but when i go back to main screen the track mutes dont work!!!???

Refer back to my post. I explain it there.

On the main screen highlight "Mute: On/Off" hit "Open Window" button and when the window opens you need to turn on recorded track mutes. Then try again
