I was reading an older thread here about compatible CD drives for the MPC2500 (and maybe the 5000), and took it in my hands to create a thread compiling a list of drives that are compatible (as someone suggested), fully or partially.
So I'll start it off.
I currently have a Sony CRX880A CD-R/RW/DVD-ROM installed in my MPC2500. It reads both audio CDs and data CDs (after the modifications explained here.
