it's happening kinda frequently now, pads 2 3 4 are getting trippy. they will be fine and then the sound disapears and the don't trigger, some weird things with bank select too.. but i just replaced the right pcb board so idk.

2 3 4 are the ones i would hit hard the most i guess, i'm a drummer at heart so i've taken out my lack of a drum kit on the pads.. i have my hand resting under the 1st pad so that gets hit lightly..

That casing looks almost identical to mine. 3 years old this past February.
When you say that the sound disappears, do you mean that you don't hear it? or that the sample name disappears from the screen?
Might be worth giving the pad sensors a cleaning before you write them off as non-functioning.
I do feel for ya though, there's no worse feeling than looking down at your MP and seeing a broken part...

I have somewhat the same problem, I have pads 13-16 non responding. they hardly respond ever. Could it be that I should open the case and see if there is any dust between the receivers and the pads?

What would? Because I notice that when I shift them a little that the non responsiveness moves from 13-16 from 9-12
Basically the 8 of em aren't really responding like they should..

I only have the MP for about a year.

i have not had the problem since i started the thread, but have not been banging the pads lately.. just recording midi etc..
